So, a lot of mine at this point is based on personal feelings about the industry and things to come. ..  

I am really trying to read more business news as well as stock advice and incorporate that into my buying and trading..

Why did you choose the stocks you did?

Diversity

Ok. Firstly, Epic, you're curious about my SUNW purchase: Mainly, because of their Stock buyback that went off in May. When a pretty solid company like Sun takes a hard drop on purpose and has pretty damn good projections.. Buy that shit! That, and i've seen Sun ads on TV for the first time lately. At least the first time I've noticed anyway.

Some of my other choices came out of who I would choose if it were my $ atm now:

• Amazon. I fracking heart Amazon. Prime shipping FTW! (and recent news doesn't hurt)
• Oil.. duh. But still a risk. .. I should have bought more CEO stock, but I was a lil nervous. .. damnit.

The 2 month thing is tough. You have to choose solid guys so you don't have to micromanage your shiz everyday, and you can't choose solid, safe guys because they won't earn you enough in the short time of the game. .. that's why i still have like, almost 1/2 to invest still. [8o|]

Small time

I'm taking the Day trader POV on this one.  I bought sun because I figure it's a quickie and somewhat save bet. I can't see that stock getting lower than 5 during our game.

TRLG.. A freaking ghey high fashion jeans company??  Wtf was I thinking right? Heh, well, I'd seen a couple articles about it, and while watching CNBC fast money, they'd mentioned it.. and out of impulse I bought it.  I'll give it a while longer before I turf it. But at 19 a share.. horrid choice I think for small time. I should have stuck with penny stock to hedge my losses damnit.

APPLE!!??? Ok, apple has something going for it that is hard to beat: Marketing and drones of people who want to seem ‘cool'.  How long do you think it will take for the zombie lemmings to figure out that the upcoming shiz.. is just that?  Tempting to buy now, sell a week after the 29^th. But it's soo hard guessing how the public views it, and since iHate apple, I won't bother.  Apple's marketing is fscking amazing.

So why did you guys invest in Apple? Safari sucks on the mac, and even more now on windows (follow some freaking standards damnit!) I'm guessing that you're betting on the iPhud though.  (I have a flame blog planned for that poser-tech that'll appear soon enough.) ..since my phone wtfpwns it in everyway but poser.

I bought apple thinking that it can only rise in the next two months, whether I agree with you on the iPhone and the company is not relevant.  Only the fact that I think it is a sound investment right now is what matters. 

SUNW Sun Microsystems Inc
I chose sun based on the stock buyback, and a bit of insider news I had on a new platform they are launching in the blade market that is set to revolutionize the blade industry, the damn things runs WINDOWS / INTEL / AMD / SPARC / etc..   All in one freaking chasis... 

JNJ - Johnson and Johnson
Duh, easy solid money, leaves me some constant residual while I can take risk on others.. You will see that I did this on a few stocks.

GOOG - Google
Lawl, 500 bucks a share..   wow...    Strong and Steady goes the google.

DECK  Deckers Outdoor Group
No idea who these guys are, I heard a radio guy talking and I decided risk is good, after all I own apple!

OSTK - Overstock
I love these guys,  I followed Mike into it and I really think its a sound investment.

TXN - Texas Instruments
Recent deal with Intel which I bought into as well as I freaking love them..

 OCMW - Occam networks
These dudes are a risk, I just bought them to pump and dump.

I think my bias against Apple will be to my disadvantage. But we'll see. Mondays are too hard to judge. 

#1 reason i didn't invest in Google and apple were their already high prices. .. it just kind of scareds me on ROI
