Wooties!

April 2007 - Posts

  • Site Update

Well, I decided to update wooties to the new CommunityServer 2007 software that was released earlier this month. Some things are still broken.. but the main site is up and running.. I still haven't decided on a new Wootious format for teh blog yet though.

Wooties! (oh, and i took the day off today) I think I'll go buy some plants.

  • Immigration: Satan's Great Plan

Yup, you heard it. The devil's plan to ruin the United States is to make people immigrate to Utah. ...

“In order for Satan to establish his ‘New World Order’ and destroy the freedom of all people as predicted in the scriptures, he must first destroy the U.S.,” Larsen’s resolution states.“[It is] insidious for its stealth and innocuousness.”

Larsen’s proposal to defeat Satan? Close the borders to illegal immigrants to “prevent the destruction of the U.S. by stealth invasion.”  So says a Utah County Republican.

Wow, how do people like this get voted into office? I have no doubt that his family once were immigrants. And to insinuate that people coming here to work trying to make life better for themselves and their families is the plan of the Devil is just plain idiocy.

    --What a racist, ignorant tool.

  • Coming Out of the Closet

Anyone who knows me knows I love gadgets and tech. I still haven't stopped talking about my new cell phone.. I own 5 computers, am completely blown away about my 15mb internet optical connection  (up and down!) --xmission rocks!-- .. and NO that isn't a paid advert.  Heck, I even waited outside the Orem Best Buy last week to score a Wii. ... No wonder I can't find a woman.

Well, I guess it's better than being a Metro-sexual (or Homo-sexual for that matter).  At least for my tastes anyway.

  • Wipe Less, Save The World!

"I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming,"

"I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting." -source

HAHAHAHA Sheryl Crow is a complete and utter Idiot. Seriously, these lame celebs will say anything to 'feel important' and make it look like they care. Like using less paper of any sort, much less the kind that helps keep up your hygiene will do anything against the bigger LEGIT reasons for global warming.

She's just the average Hollywood poser. Yet you'll hear ppl say things like 'Hey, at least she's trying to do something about it'. No, she's just propagating ignorance like most of the 'Green' ppl celebs.

I've mentioned it before, the SUN and water surface area is the biggest reason, COWs being the largest source of greenhouse gas, now pine trees are another source for 'Global Warming'. ooooh, but no. It's TOILET PAPER! (this coming from someone who travels around in three tractor trailers, four buses, and six cars. source)

    Sheryl, you are a n00b.

you scanning it in putting it on the interwebs saying how "green" you are?

me: lololooolol dude that's a good one

  • Enter Post Title Here. ....

Ok .. so it's been a while. I've been back from my last trip to SA for almost 2 weeks now and not one post.. What's up with that? Well, as my friend Phr0st put it:

Still no blog. I guess the struggle b/w rl and vl, RL won?

The answer is yeah, kinda. Real life has been pwning the Virtual Life lately. And that sucks. But it's all part of life. I guess that maybe there hasn't been anything good enough to blog about.. but that would be a lie. lots of good stuff out there. Although I found one that maybe will  get me back on track. Namely, UTAH Lawmakers SUCK.  They're considering Banning Open WiFi right now. Somehow the 'powers that be' seem to feel that the right to freedom of choice shouldn't be a right. Information on the internets should be censored to what 'The Man' wants you see.  Albeit, pr0n is bad, and it's all over the internets. But the responsibility to teach kids to use the Internet responsibly falls on THE PARENTS! noobs. .. censoring it will only propagate the problem.

Ralph Yarro told a Utah legislative committee that free, unsecured wireless networks ought to be banned because they could allow minors to access pornography.

This comes from Ralph Yarro.. Chairman of SCO, the disputed EVIL dickhead of the internets. It's funny because I live less than a mile away from the SCO headquarters. (SCO is one of the many litigious companies in the world that instead of competing, adapting and evolving in reaction to competition, they just try and sue them).

It's like nobody wants to take responsibility for anything anymore. Let's censor things, that'll make it all better. .. what kind of backward thinking mentality is that? You can't censor anything nowadays. You need to EDUCATE, not censor. It's part of the many responsibilities of living in a FREE society. Chalk this up to many of the ignorant sides against Net Neutrality.

In the meantime, it'll continue to openly share my internet connection to anyone around me. Access to the internet should be an unalienable right to everyone.

    ... noobs.

  • Turn your lights off.. Save the world?

LOL It's sad when PETA makes more sense than other green freaks when it comes to Global Warming.

Well, there is no love loss between Australia and South Africa. I've decided to try and not be such a noob when it comes to sports lately (Seriously though, I just don't get excited about a bunch of dudes throwing balls around and slapping each other on the butt as a form of congratulatorianism all that exciting. -yeah, i made that word up.)  Cricket World Cup is going on right now, and although it's not a Sport that's played much in the states, I've started to like watching it, oddly enough. I would still rather watch something that is more informing than sports, but sometimes ya gotta blend in with the normal folk. :)

Ok, I got off subject. SA and Australia are hardcore enemies of sport. I was here this time last year when the two teams were making records in the sport. Needless to say it's quite the rivalry. SA came in to the World cup with a Rank of #1 to the world cup and Australia rank #2. .. Good times I guess. Fun to watch too. .. if you have like 6-8 spare hours in a day anyway.

What on earth does the headline have to do with the subject of this post?? Well,it seems the Ausies think that by cutting power in their larger cities is something that will make ppl more conscience about 'Global Warming''. I imagine it would have been fun to participate in, but if anyone thinks that cutting down on energy consumption really will make a difference in the actual greenhouse effect, I'd really like to hear them explain their logic. Wootious logic wtfpwns the less energy consumption crap. Don't get me wrong, waste is waste. We as humans should try and live more efficiently, but honestly, 'Going Green' is much more of a Marketing scheme than anything else. Oh well, I think I'll go eat a nice fresh South African Steak for dinner, but I'll do it in Candle-light because I heart the environment.

    *****

.. Other news: Casual Fridays here can be .. a bit too casual (I lost a tooth!! but my legs look DARN sexy). The bunnies for lunch were great! .. although, I'm told white ppl don't eat bunnies much but I tend to enjoy them (you can tell by my FAT face eating it up) It's hot stuff though. More stuff happened Friday night, but since me and my friends made it out alive, I'll just leave it at that. That's all for now.
