Every once in a while I'll come into work and see that the Presidential action dolls have been placed in precarious positions from presidential pyramids to awkward Bill and George Dubya poses. ..

CNN: Planet in Peril = Lame

 

Ryan: i did watch CNN's geytardastic planet in peril though

Ryan: wow, it was really stupid

geo: wasn't it terrible? : like something a kindergartner would make : "my dad says global warming causes animals to go extinct"

Ryan: yeah. really, really stupid. .. and i dont care a damn thing about turtles or turtle soup

geo: yea it was bad bad bad : and they advertised it "on itunes" "on aol in HD" blah blah blah : like anyone would pay for that? : its like they want to make money off of the planet earth series : with their own craptastic series : look this is a lizard that matches the tree!

geo: yea anyways i couldn't handle it I'm glad you finally watched it : i could rant all day about it : lol : and NBC is now going to the 4 corners of the earth on the today show to display our planet

Ryan: who cares about the millions w/out homes and hundreds of thousands of humans dying in africa, or middle east governments praying on their people....

Ryan: SAVE THE TURTLES!

geo: like why advertise what everyone already knows is wrong? campaign to change, go to congress, run for president seriously people you can't preach to the choir and think that the planet will be saved

Ryan: that's boring though, why not make an overly-dramatic news series about it to make you look like you're the uber-conservationist that is going to save the world single-handedly

Be Prepared!

So it's been a bit again.. I've been really distracted lately by not very exciting things. Kind of like the Dilbert for the day:

I have however, gradually started to get back to gaming with my friends on the weekends, Sunday I had some GG time playing TF2 on my new quadcore comp I picked up for a steal of a deal, it'd been years since I last did an upgrade to a desktop, and wow, the thing screams. Nothing new on the RL side of life lately, although I'm going to try and work on that sometime soon. Halloween is coming up soon though, I dig this holiday, it's one of my favs. Watched 28 Weeks Later last night, I always love a good zombie movie, and this one was pretty good. No Resident Evil, but good none-the-less. 

That with the fires going on right now in Cali, it made me think about how important it is to be prepared. Good thing there is a wiki that is all about surviving disasters out there. It's there that I found this important video I want all of my friends to watch so that you can be prepared too:

 

Blog Action Day!

It's Blog Action Day.. A day where bloggers are all supposed to unite and blog about statistically insignificant things that you can do to supposedly help the environment. Or at least do their best to guilt you into buying some over-priced light bulb that will somehow save the World next time you're in Wal-Mart.

I was really hoping to get savetehpolarbear.com off and running by now. Sell some 'lol worthy' T-shirts or something similarly lame. But I've been in a 'meh' mood for a while and haven't felt like blogging or working on some of my personal projects with the little 'ryan time' that I've had lately. I think my mood comes from the fact that we're all ruining the earth and animals and the environment are paying for it. Luckily, I can watch the Polar Bears drown in Hi-def on my energy inefficient 46 inch. Of course blogging about it on one of my 4 always-on computers will definitely make the world a better place also.

I'm an activist 'ya know.

Well, at least my family still thinks I'm cool! [:D] I have 16 nephews and neices give or take a few, and they're all great. Maybe I could use this as a little advert a la Ryan to solicit a date?
