Google QA Sucks
Well, at least that's my opinion anyway. And it seems that Matt Drudge agrees.
I'm still struggling with my opinion actually. You would hope a large company like Google would think through the social backlash that could happen if you post public pics like they are doing now. I mean it's the same as if someone were to drive by my place at any time. But still, I can't think of any reason why it should be an invasion of privacy, it just feels like it is. Google introduced a new 'Street View' option to their popular Google Maps today:
What do you think?
Why I <HATE> Rap Music
How on earth do songs with lyrics like this get popular? ... I'll never know. (I don't want to know either)
Amazon and Cheap Presidents FTW!
So anyone who knows me, knows that I'm quite the freak when it comes to deals and shopping on the internets. It's no stretch to say that over 90% of everything I own was bought through the grid. Sometimes you can find some pretty awesome deals out there. And sometimes you can find some pretty odd ones. I spotted an odd deal Tuesday from one of my many sources on the web.
I couldn't help it. I mean c'mon! A talking George Dubya doll for $3? Everyone needs one of these things! Since I have Amazon Prime on my account due to a generous Brother of mine.. I didn't think twice. So I scored me some presidents on the Cheap. Now my Cube is even more the playground. .. Maybe the Presidents will be the target of the Nerf guns now. .. Since somehow my cube is where all the ammo tends to land. .. Or would that be a Federal Offense of some sort?
PS: I've allowed Anon commenting again. Hopefully the 3 digit captcha code isn't too much of a hassle for you if you feel the need to drop a comment from now on.
700 Snakes on a Plane!! (Well, not really)
So, my buddy Epic, just called me and told me about a news story that is definately 'lol' worthy. Some simple dude, not thinking much about it tried to get 700 snakes on a plane to Siria (I assume Siria anyway). Poor guy, he should watch the news or something. Or maybe go to the theater, I hear there is some movie about his situation out there. Heh, "Get those MOTHER-<LOVING> Snakes off the MOTHER-<LOVING> plane!!"
"The officers were stunned when a passenger, identified as Yahia Rahim Tulba, told them his carryon bag contained live snakes after he was asked to open it.
Tulba opened his bag to show the snakes to the police and asked the officers, who held a safe distance, not to come close. Among the various snakes, hidden in small cloth sacks, were two poisonous cobras, authorities said." - CNN
Geek Battles FTW!
Time to get back to the basic geek in me. I have some good friends that i've known for quite a while, we're all geeks and gamers. When Vista came out earlier this year we started a discussion on it that was pretty amusing. I'm an admitted Windows Fanboy and several buddies are Linux fans, the discussion was pretty good. .. Anyway, it came up today again as we were discussing certain driver issues and errors on a new game that we're all excited to play, and the last two comments made me 'LOL'
Eth3r:
I know this is after the fact but I have not looked at the forum for a
bit. My comment about "Vista Rocks" was not about the Driver issue at
all but rather about :" I found that Vista has INSANE error reporting tracking or something. There was 24 GIG of error reporting files."
That is a lot of error entries......
bl00k:
Maybe it isn't a lot of error entries, maybe it is just a few but it
automatically takes high rez screen shots, and then records video of
you crying on your keyboard to submit to MS so they can have a good
laugh.
Hola!
Wow.. 10 postless days. That's more lame than usual. Heck, even this post is lame 'cause there's no point to it whatsoever. .. I hate pointless posts.
Maybe I'll make it out of the rut sometime soon.
Shoot Your Very Own Iraqi!
EDIT: Ok, I've installed a spam blocker for comments .. comment as usual. oops i broke it again.
While I'm painfully reminding myself of reasons why I didn't get a Computer Science Degree (adding an anon comment thingamajig), Why don't you go shoot an Iraqi?
Domestic Tension - disturbingly raises awareness about the life of the Iraqi people and the home confinement they face due to the both the violent and the virtual war they face on a daily basis.
sorry if i deleted you :(
going through and deleting/banning comment spam.. i may have deleted some real comments.. SORRY!! [*-)]
wow, I have a LOT of comment spam to clean up. Looks like I have to take off the anon comment feature for a little bit until I find a better way to do it. So just sign in and comment for now.. I'll get the anonymous commenting fixed sooner or later.
i hate spammers.
