Other news, work's busy as always. i'm back in SA working on the parallel run phase of the current project i'm involved with. Lots of work, but it's good. i'm here with a co-worker Kent, it's a lot of fun so far mixed with all the work. (It's 'cause of Kent that the first Wootious Poll was created)

Karma Hates Me

What a long trip home. .. So i was supposed to fly ou from
johannasburg around 7:30 SA time, i had to change my ticket since i ended up
staying a week longer. i got to the Airport with around 4:30 to give me enough
time. it was pretty busy, i changed my ticket and hoped in queue (a reallly
long queue). After hours of waiting patiently i get to the ticket desk to check
in my luggage and get to the gate, 10 munutes before the plane is suppost to
take off.. The nice lady at the counter then informed me that they had oversold
the flight and that i would have to wait until saterday to fly home. *DANG! i was thinking to myself, if i would
have just been a few minutes earlier!* heh, but i don’t think it would have
done me any good. Turns out it was oversold by 15-20 seats! Crazy eh? So, i get
back in queue to get a hotel voucher and re-book a ticket for saterday. i’m sitting
in Atlanta right
now very very tired. That flight across the pond is torture. And to make it
worse, i had a seat that the TV was broken in it. So 19 straight hours with
nothing but a book and my music. i’ll be home late afternoon. i really wish i
would have gotten home yesterday but i have horrid luck, and i’m getting pretty
used to it, so i don’t get upset when things like this happen, i have enough
stress from work, $ and life to give myself any more if i don’t have to.

Anyway, even though i’m not really home yet, and i lost what
little of a weekend i was looking forward to having a break, it’s still good to
be home. … i think.

(i think wooties was down
again for the whole weekend. .. hrm, maybe i should have put it on a more
stable PC eh? Oh well.)
