UPDATE: (Monday AM) Okay, so i was actually planning on having a horrid time with this Bday. i was looking forward to the big 30 with bitter dread. i actually ended up having a great Bday! i went out to dinner with some friends to the Melting Pot in SLC, and i really enjoyed the night (and... i went with a really cool chick! <-yeah, i had an RL DATE! WOOTIES to me!!). i'm glad i got out and didn't spend the night pitying myself on the couch alone as i had planned. i guess it aint all that bad being 30 and single in Happy Valley. There are worse things than being alone.

oh yeah.. and i forgot to mention i have a really kick-butt Brother-in-Law and Sister that had me over for a "Birthday/LOST dinner" and on Saterday they put together a really fun "Birthday/Board Game Party with ice cream cake and sponge bob
tatoos". It was a lot of fun actually!! It really was we even watched a video of him and his family on Family Fued, it was hilarious!!   I'm still trying to rub off my tatoo!

Hamas in Control!??

Yesterday during my lunch i was listening to the news, as i
usually do. (yay for XM radio!) Fox and CNN News were both going over the
elections in Palestine.
Talking about how the exit polls were all in favor of Fatah by 8-10%. That's a
good sign. Mahmoud
Abbas is one of the few members of the PLO that is a moderate and
negotiates with Israel
(in fact, he is one of the Founders of Fatah). He's always seemed to be more
level headed then any other leader in Palestine.
In my mind, he's one of the few leaders in in that area that would be a positive influence
for the people and help that part of the world get out of the ignorant rut that
it's been in for centuries. So, it was good news to see that Fatah was ahead in
the polls.... But it wasn't so. Hamas
won the election. That's NOT good news. Not at all. The way they 'moved into
office' wasn't exactly what you'd expect from a national political party.
Mushir al-Masri, a Hamas official, talking about negotiations about Israel
said that it was "not
on our agenda." Hamas is nothing but an extremist terrorism organization
with a political front.

The Middle East is in for a really rough ride. It's sure to get uglier, really fast.

Well, at least it'll give me something interesting to watch on the news. .. A bunch of n00b ignorants running around killing each other is always entertaining.. in a really sick sort of way.

The Blame Game Game for Games

(btw, i canceled my subscription to that game in Dec...it got to a point where you had to be a l33t gamer that waste hours upon hours of your life to compete. ... lame)

Anyone who honestly thinks Games 'make' anyone 'do' anything
are completely ignorant and detached from reality more than those that are gaming
in virtual reality. Life is full of influences (everything around you), but ppl
make conscious decisions in their life to act upon the influences. Blaming a
game is just as lame as blaming the car manufacturers for operator caused
crashes, or blaming the car they ran into for that matter. Silly Canadians.
That goes the same for the idiots that want to blame games for everything from
school shootings to cross-dressing. Please, be more responsible, don't throw
the blame on anything other than who is Really responsible.

How inept can the media be? Seriously.

Okay, so i've been into a lot of TV this last year (the anti-social loser in me likes sitting on the couch more then going out).. and the fact that i'm in love with my MCE machine doesn't help. i have a new found love of TV. There are some pretty good shows on lately. One of my favorites is LOST. There are a lot of theories on the net about the show and it's plot. I found this one today.

Well, it looks like i wasn't the only one who thought the show sucked. After 3 aired episodes, the Book of Daniel has been shelved.

i could have ranted for hours on how lame that show was.

MPAA Makes Illegal Copies of Movies!

hahah who's gonna sue them now? They better damn well sue themselves!.. or,  or, uhm... i dunno. somebody has gotta sue someone i guess. i think Kirby Dick should. .. Then he should turn around and sue his parents for giving him such a horrible, horrible name. Then sue himself for keeping the the silly name for so long. i mean, if he was a director of pr0n, maybe i'd understand. .. but he's not.  His movie does sound interesting though. If i weren't such a lazy, ant-social arse, i'd prolly go see it.

Taken directly from the MPAA website: "Movie pirates are thieves, plain and simple…. ALL forms of piracy are illegal and carry serious legal consequences." Yet they're saying they had the right to copy his movie?? WTF? Idots.. all of them.

.. Dick should be pissed. Really pissed. i'd like to watch Dick run, run and sue thier Pants off! Go Dick, Go! ...so, i'm making fun of his name, for namesake. .. 'cause it makes me feel like i'm cool. .. because i can make fun of ppl while saying "Dick". .. that's what cool ppl do. .. it like, makes them cool. .. ya know. .. to make fun of noobs for having silly names. ... 'n stuff.  hrm i wonder where Jane is in all of this though...

i found a great opinion article on the Inquirer today. A good read. DRM really is worthless and intrusive. It encourages piracy more than anything else.

that is DRM infected that has not found it's way to the net within a

Review: TV – Book of Daniel

So, the VP of Project Management at my company is leaving us this week. He's off to bigger and better places. We got together in a morning meeting to show our appretiation. We showed this little clip (give it a moment to load) i whipped it up right before the meeting. It was fun. i had to do some kind of sucking up after he commented on the New Years blog about a link i had to UtahTechJobs. .... i think i got busted! So what angle can i use to get a pay raise out of this?  heh, i think it's too late now. oops.

i just got done watching one of the most lame shows i think i’ve ever watched in my entire life. A tv show about a priest’s life. .. a completely idiotic show where the priest’s wife is an alcoholic, his daughter is a drug dealer, internet pirate, one son is gay, the other son is having sex with a 15 year old.… oh, and did I forget to mention the priest is addicted to pain killers?.. Oh, and the priest’s father who is a Bishop, is doing another Bishop (woman) OUT of wedlock. The maid is stealing the pot from the daughter that’s selling it. The whole family LIES, priests making deals with the mafia. ……. And Jesus shows up every once in a while with frat-boy type anecdotes. And it gets worse the more you watch….

Not once did the supposed priest express any moral structure at all. NONE. Nothing… NADA. He just accepts everything and everyone and goes on like it’s all minor silly querks of life … What’s the point of the show? Just to accept every evil out there if not embrace it?

This show totally makes me want to be a better person that’s for sure... *sigh* Anyone who knows me knows i’m anything but perfect but SHEESH, this is just further proof that the mainstream media is steering the handbasket we're all sitting in right to Hades.

Do yourself a favor and skip out on anything about The Book of Daniel.

It’s a New Year of.. hrm. …

It's 01.01.06...   !!!

Well. Another year has passed on this wretched earth we call
home.  yay!. ... yay to another year of death,
destruction, loneliness, heartache, lies, fear and deceit. Yay for it’s
passing without worse consequences then there prolly should have been. Yay, that the world didn’t end in 2005! i
don’t celebrate the future that 2006 brings, i celebrate that 2005 didn't suck as much as it could have. i don't celebrate 2006 and what bright future it will bring for some. No, to a few it will bring great joy and satisfaction, i suppose. But, to the majority, it will suck beyond all suckage, and most of us will watch it all on our nice comfortable couches during the nightly news.

Noper. i dont celebrate 2006, not for me personally, and
not for what it will bring the world. ...

yeah, yeah… I’m a pessimistic jerkFace. .. I know this already, shutup and take it.
