So, i decided i'll do my Christmas shopping AFTER this weekend. i'm a slacker, i know. luckily i don't have to buy for many people at all this year. So it's no biggie.

Every Friday, my co-workers and i try and find some random poll to start in the office just a simple way to lighten moods from the week. So whats the poll today you may ask?

Okay, so anyone who knows me, knows i hate HATE console games with passion. Console games are far far too inferior to computer games. .. but without flaming too much here. It's prolly the thing to get for all the kids this year. But we all know some kids can be really bratty about what they get and expect for Christmas, here's what one fed-up father did with his son's Christmas present.

Democracy in Iraq

Definately a Blogworthy day today.

Well, Today is a big day for the Iraqi ppl that have lived suppressed, captive and scared lives for decades. Huge numbers of people who have hope for their own people and country turned out to vote, and show the world that they are a better people without Saddam. Very interesting and positive things being said in the news today. Much different tones than what whas heard last week about how the US cannot win this war, and how the us troops are terrorizing the Iraqi people. I just hope our lame politicians try and remember that this is for the future of the Iraqi ppl and not for the future political careers of self absorbed and detached politicians.

Podcast Word of the Year?

I hate the word 'podcast' with flaming passion!

Yeah. What Chef said... OMGWTFBBQ?? so Podcast will be in the Oxford Dictionary next
year okay, it should be. But Word of the Year??. .. whoopie. I can’t think of a word that’s more poser-esque than ‘podcast’.
OMGWTFBBQ is right! For those of you nubs who don’t know what podcasting is go
here. You’ve undoubtedly heard the word said before, and NO it has nothing to
do with those silly iPods or Apple at all. Streaming audio and video has been
around since broadband was introduced for frick's sake! Just because you can now subscribe to the streaming
media and download it really doesn’t make it all that innovative or new at all.
It’s nothing more than an RSS feed with audio file enclosures! This word beat
out Birdflu and Rootkit! Both have much MUCH further and deeper implications than any word
with ‘pod’ in it ever can. Just the fact that it has ‘pod’ in it makes me
cringe! wtf is up with all the 'pods' anyway? Podcasts are really nothing more than mp3 files of talk shows! .. yeah,
really neato and deserving of a word of the year. … GHEY!

I started posting other words that i felt would be better but FireFox froze up on me last night so i finished this post this morning. .. no words. .. stupid browsers.

Wooties should be a word of the year.. or maybe omgwtfbbq! Anything that leaves out any reference to 'pod' or 'i' would be much better.

SNL Sucks

Okay. So ever since i got my media center PC and became part
of the "PVR" revolution, i've completely love it. i never spend time
skipping channels ... EVER. i cruise the guide, and record what i want to
watch. heck, i can even watch all of my downloaded vids through it. i frick'n
LOVE my MCE machine!.... i get a chance to see all the shows i want to see,
because i can watch them when i want to now instead of having to be sitting in
front of the tv when the show is on. Saturday Night Live is one of those shows.
.... it's been a long time since i've watched SNL. i'm actually watching it
right now (nothing better to do) i've atched the last 5 shows, and they all SUCK. i have no idea why it's still on air. it's all completely LAME! - and now off my scheduled recording list.

Holy HELL SNL sucks. Either i've lost my lame sense of humor or the SNL writers
have no clue what is funny anymore. (#include awkward pause here) no, seriously.
the shit they put on tv isn't funny at all. in fact, it's so not funny it kind
of makes my angry. i'd love to know if ppl really think it is amusing and
funny. 'cause for me it sucks monkey nuts.

What a waste of time.
