RL XP!

i got some RL XP last week! i'm so proud of my lame self. i
made it out to see 2 different concerts. The Green Day and J.E.W. concert last
Wed, and on Saturday i made it to the Big Ass Show in SLC. Pretty decent events
actually. i gotta say though, the future of America
is pretty dim when you see
all the interesting ppl that come out to these kind of shows. i swear
the
strangest people in the world are only spotted at concerts and malls.
It was
unbelievable how young and slutty some ppl were there. Moms there
smoking with
their daughters. .. i swear i saw one Mom and Daughter there smoking
and the
daughter could not have been older then 16! so unbelievingly lame.
There were a
few decent looking ppl there though. Actually, some pretty yummy ones.
Almost
gives me incentive to get out more. ... but the majority of ppl there
kinda made me sad. i guess i just don't understand why some kids feel
like they have to act a certain way to fit in, even if it is to fit in
with those that don't "fit in".   ..

Do Computers Make your Live Happier?

i happened on a local blogger page that asked the above
question today during lunch. It made me think a bit. i can honestly say that computers have made my life
happier for the most part. i mean, i own 4 of them, that should account for
something, right? Of course, if it weren’t for computers i would have gotten out of
the condo this last weekend and maybe even did something in the real world. i
used to be a social creature, i’m anything but that now. (Thanks, in part, to
computers). i’m actually struggling to make a decision to go to a killer show this next weekend or stay home and do Molten Core with my online
friends. Sounds silly, i know. On one side, i have a chance to get out and
maybe, just maybe, meet someone. The otherside is, if i play WoW, the only
rejection i’ll feel is when my mage wipes the entire raid group for the 3^rd
time. ... hrm.

.. after reading what i wrote in that last sentence, maybe i’ll try and find someone to take to the show. …
at least give it a try.

Anyway. This was supposed to be about computers making my
life happier. .. i heart computers! But maybe i should try and balance it
out a bit between my comps and Real Life. Sad, ryan. you live a sad, sad life to post something so lame as the internal RL vs VL disscussion going on in your head right now.

wow, i just went 3rd person on the blog for the first time! iHate mondays. Even if it is Talk Like a Pirate Day and there is anti-pirate news in the news. .. Arrrgh! Mondays suck. (yarr, ryan, yarr they be sucking hard)

Seriously though. What’s the big deal with ipods? Now the
iphone, and the ipod Nano (they should have called it inano, it'll sell more with an "i"). Mp3 players have been around for ages! My phone has
windows media player 10, it plays mp3’s just fine. Even movies. Why on earth do
we need another ipod? It’s such a powerful fad it’s crazy! Go Apple! Your computers
may suck monkey balls, but you have an awesome marketing department for all the
sheep out there!

i should just put an "i" in front of my name. That'd make me instantly cool, like everything else out there with an "i" or a "pod" in it's name. ip00p sounds good. .. ok. of to my iBed.

(i do think that ipods are really cool though. ‘cept for the
proprietary crap on them that won’t let me share my music. But i won’t say it
outloud. And NO i won’t own one. it's just a music player!! sheesh.)

Rant: Being Single in Utah Valley

Okay, it’s been a while since i posted something from my
lame life. All this crap in the news is way to sobering. Time for a bit ‘o self
degradation! 

So, living in Utah
Valley aint all that easy
when you’re 29 and single, (even worse when you are single by your own accord).
Here, if you’re not married from 18-22 there’s something wrong with you. i
haven’t quite figured out the exact reasons yet. It seems that once a lot of
ppl get out in the real world after high school, there’s just nothing left for
them to do but get married. Why is that? i know of several people that have
made a mistake of getting married too young. They just didn’t know enough about
RL or their partner. And i’d say, they prolly didn’t even know that much about
themselves either. ‘course, on the other hand, there are a handful of lucky
ones that actually did get it right when they married young, and that’s cool.
But it’s just wrong how the attitudes are here.

Porfavor! i’ve never been in a place where there are so many
desperate ppls! i get so much shit for being single it’s silly! ppl always
trying to set me up, or to get me to go out. i swear ppl think i’m gay because i’m
single and don’t date…  i just want to
tell them off, and tell them to get out of my life. But then i think about it,
they’re just wanting to share their “happiness”. Well, screw that “happiness”! Okay,
so yeah, i kinda miss having a gf or someone around to hang with and all that,
that’s just human. i actually have a really crappy attitude towards the
opposite sex. Yeah, i know it’s skewed, but seriously, how can it not be living
in this state? i guess if i act like the typical superficial guy around here i’d
have chicas all over the place. i just need a big truck, tats, lots ‘o money,
and no fecking future beyond construction or tire repair. Yeah, then i’d be
gett’n all sorts of action from the silly shallows around here!

Whew. i feel much better now. Funny how blaming all of my
inadequacies on everyone else works so well in justifying my loserdom.

Wooties 2 self-justification! ... much better. .. going to bed now.

This should not be happening in our country. I completely take back my "Our Disaster" post. There are plenty of countries offering aid even Cuba and China. Here's a good list.
It seems like our governement failed us hardcore on this one. It took
way too long for those that needed aid to get it. We didn't accept aid
when offered. Instead we waited, and WAITED.

It makes me sick to think about it. The Director of FEMA didn't even
know the convention center was being used as a shelter. .. We all knew
this BEFORE the storm even reached land! Michael Brown, the Director of
FEMA even said that the victims of the disaster are partly responsible?!!!!
What a TOOL! How Michael? HOW? in a place where over 27% of the population
lives under the poverty line. How could you have the gaul to say such a
thing? What about the elderly, and the very poor that could not do a
thing but seek shelter within their reach?? They can't just go up to
their summer home in the hamptons, you retard! They needed FEMA's help, and didn't get it in time.

 i have heard it too many times
that the ppl of New Orleans were asking for it. WTF? That living in an
area where they were threatened by the water, living in the bowl, ect.
they
should have moved. Well, pull your head out. Some ppl don't get to choose where they are
born, and what class they're born into. What would you do starve to death or loot? Damn you shallow ppl. How can
you say such crap out loud?

FEMA FTL

Get your ass going FEMA. The tsunami victims received quicker help from our Government then our own ppl.

Every Official that works for FEMA should be FIRED.

Fighting for Freedom

On September 1st., 1939, 1.8 million German troops invaded Poland.
Their ruthless blitzkrieg bombings of defenseless civilian towns and refuges
killed an un-numerable amount of ppl during WWII. That racism and hatred toward
ppl that were different and had beliefs different then their own, ravaged the
world for 6 long miserable and horrifying years. 

Later, we joined the fight. And we stood United against the
tyrants in Europe for what was right, Freedom.
Freedom is right. I don’t care what crap spews out of the idiots
that disagree. It’s a different world
now and a different nation. We are not United against those that would
do us
harm like in those days. Even though the situation is fairly similar.
Saddam Hussein was more similar to Hitler than you may think. Both,
happily pay to
murder Jews,
Attempted to build nuclear weapons and WMD’s, 
Systematically exterminated people that were different then them in mass
numbers, invaded their neighbors, used weapons of mass destruction on their own ppl. ...

i could post a lot more, but you get the point.

I honestly think that if you oppose the war in Iraq right now,
you have no logical reason of why unless, you’re just plain anti-war. But if
you’re a shiz talker about funky hidden agendas and personal vendettas, you
have no logical grounds. (aside from you being just another idiot on the
bandwagon)

Take a look back at who was running that country and what he
and his supporters did while they were in power. Granted, he wasn’t as
influential as Hitler but, if you think we should have left Saddam in power,
you would have probably said the same thing about Hitler.

To those of you that have served, or are serving in any armed forces, THANK YOU!
-i couldn’t do it. But i'm very, very grateful that there are men and women in this country that
sacrifice their time, effort, and their lives for our freedom and the freedom
of those who struggle for their own freedom.
